HOPE FLOATS: "Swimming," an acclaimed coming-of-age film starring Lauren Ambrose of "Six Feet Unders" fame, is now playing at the Kendall Square Cinema. The film, directed by Robert J. Siegel, was on the film-festival circuit in 2000 - when it was originally released. Accolades poured in, including the Grand Jury Award for Ambrose at the Los Angeles Out Fest. Now that she has become a star - as cable television's tortured adolescent archetype - "Swimming" is getting another shot in theaters. Go!, for one, couldn't be happier. 1 Kendall Square, Cambridge, 617-494-9800. # # # |
