While small Swimming definitely offers some big rewards, Lauren Ambrose can hold the screen in a way many other "teen star" cannot. Her grasp on the conflicts of Frankie is clearly developed and presented with a refreshing subtlety. The movie as a whole reminded me of those, gentle, lovely coming of age short stories...well done and graceful
